Jon Christensen joined the board in 2020 and is an award-winning business development leader and Chief Executive Officer at Bidmii International Inc. He contributed to the growth of major brands Freshii, Boston Pizza and the GUS Group, while overseeing rebranding, cost reduction, and restructuring periods. Jon has been a guest lecturer at the Lang School of Business and Economics and has received awards from 1851 Franchise Magazine and the Ontario Hostelry Institute. Jon is the Chair of the Human Resources Committee.
Laurie Iversen joined in 2016. Laurie currently works for a municipal government and has experience with marketing, sales, and project management.
Jane Stamp joined in 2018. Jane is the controller for Wellington Ortho & Rehab Associates and Wellington Physiotherapy Associates. Jane is the Chair of the Finance Committee.
Devlin Scanlon joined the board in 2019. Devlin works in food safety and is currently working towards a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management. Devlin is a member of the Finance and Human Resources Committees.
Wendy Jespersen joined the board in 2019 and has a background in fundraising and marketing communications, as well as event planning and magazine publishing. She is currently Manager, Advancement Communications, in the department of Alumni Affairs and Development at the University of Guelph. Wendy is the Chair of the Marketing/Fundraising Committee.
Kimberley Floyd joined the board in 2021 and is Chief Executive Officer of WellFort Community Health Services a Community Health Centre focusing on primary and community healthcare. Her 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector has afforded her many leadership opportunities within chronic and rehabilitation hospital experiences, small and large academic community-based acute care hospitals, and the community setting. She was also recently awarded the 2019 LouiseLemieux-Charles Health System Leadership award from the University of Toronto and the 2022 Community Contribution Award in Peel Region by the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Kimberley is a member of the Human Resources Committee
Kasia Rusiniak joined the Board in 2022. She is a communications professional with a background in fundraising, marketing, and event management. She currently works as Program Manager of Development and Marketing at River Run Centre.
Peter C. Pickfield LLB, LLM is a Guelph-based lawyer specializing in the areas of environmental, land-use planning and municipal law and a partner with the firm of Garrod Pickfield LLP. He and his partner Danielle are proud parents to four children including a daughter who is a client of Hopewell.
Peter served proudly as a Hopewell Board member for ten years, including four years as Vice-Chair, and three years as chair of the Human Resources Committee.
Peter left the Board in 2021 but continues to serve as member of the Human Resources Committee. He is passionate about Hopewell and the communities that it serves and is fully invested in its long-term success. He views his support for Hopewell as a life-long commitment
Charlie Spano joined the board in 2023. Charlie is a CPA currently working as a Business consultant in Finance, Treasury, Tax and Business strategy. Charlie has extensive management, business and finance executive leadership experience working with multinational organizations in Computer Distribution and Broadcasting properties. Charlie also has extensive experience in Volunteerism working with Special Olympics Golf and Special Needs Hockey as a Coach and Team Manager. Charlie is a member of the Finance and Real Estate committees
Peter Marshall brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to Hopewell's Board of Directors. As the Chief Financial Officer at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, he oversees the organization's financial strategy and operations. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. His extensive expertise in financial management and strategic planning will be invaluable in supporting Hopewell's mission to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
